Cyber Essentials
Cyber security is an increasing threat to businesses but many do nothing about it due to ignorance. It is no longer a case of if your business is subjected to a cyber attack but when. Businesses need to learn more about potential threats, identify where you are vulnerable and what you can do to improve your security.
The Government in partnership with industry has developed the Cyber Essentials Scheme to fulfil two functions. Firstly it provides a clear statement of the basic controls that all organisations should implement to mitigate the risk from common internet threats. Secondly, through its Assurance Framework it offers a mechanism for organisations to demonstrate to their customers, investors and insurers and others that they have taken these essential precautions.
