A Summary of our Privacy Policy for Clients

At Luker Rowe we are committed to respecting your privacy. Our aim is to be fair, clear and transparent in our dealing with all our clients and prospective clients. Instead of forwarding a long policy document which we believe many of our clients would not read, we have therefore summarised some key areas of our privacy policy below. Personal Information

To obtain correct insurance cover, we need to obtain from you certain personal information. We will only request information that is either relevant to obtaining the insurance quotation or needed to be able to correspond with you or is required by legislation or as a regulatory requirement. Your information will only be shared with organisations where it is necessary to obtain quotations, transact your business, deal with a claim or where we have regulatory or legal requirements to do so. This will include, but not be restricted to, insurance companies and providers, loss adjusters and other claims handlers, finance companies, marketing databases and our software providers. Please note that insurers pass information to the police and fraud prevention agencies and databases. This is to verify information provided and prevent fraudulent claims. Details of motor insurance policies are also added to the Motor Insurance Database and may be used by the police or Motor Insurance Bureau to help identify an insured driver.

We will not share your information with any organisation which is not directly connected to your insurance arrangements. We will not retain Payment Card details after the payment has been processed.

Marketing

We may forward you newsletters or other information regarding insurance products which we believe may be of interest to you, together with other relevant information. This falls within the General Data Protection Regulations, legitimate interests permissions and our understanding is that this does not require your specific consent. You may however opt out at any time.

We will not forward your personal information for external marketing activity or to third parties unless we have obtained from you specific consent to receiving marketing material.

After your insurances cease with Luker Rowe

Upon request we will forward to you details of all personal data held and this will be provided in electronic format.

The GDPR does provide individuals the right to have all data held erased. In respect of insurance, the FCA requires records to be held for a minimum period and accountancy rules have other retention requirements and these overrules the above right. However, upon request we will remove any information that is not required for legal or regulatory purposes and will ensure that you receive no further correspondence from us.
