January fundraising at Luker Rowe

News > January fundraising at Luker Rowe

As the new year beds in and our thoughts are focussed on plans for 2023 and at Luker Rowe we have launched our first charity fundraiser of the year.

Rennie Grove are one of our local charities that we work with on a regular basis to promote and support in their great work to provide hospice care for our area.

As part of our long term commitment to them we have decided to have a sponsored 24 hour static cycle ride in our offices in Amersham.

Its going to be really tough after the Christmas break but between 12 noon on Wednesday 11th January and 12 noon on Thursday 12th January we will undertake a 24 hour static cycle. During the 24 hour period we will aim to cover 300 miles or the equivalent distance between Amersham and Paris! We are looking for as many people as possible to get involved with the bike located within our kitchen area with a second bike to warm up and down.

We are hoping all our staff will undertake one or two slots during the period and the slots can range from 15 minutes to an hour but with most people doing 30 minutes and there is a significant level of competition within the organisation so with our Principal Chris starting and finishing the ride we are hoping to smash our fundraising objective.

We have set up a Just Giving page and would really appreciate any donation that you could make to support this fantastic charity

Please feel free to join us on Thursday at 12 to celebrate the end of the ride when we will celebrate with a buffet and cake feast.
